Absentee ballots now available to all NH voters due to coronavirus concerns.

In response to the coronavirus crisis, the Secretary of State and Attorney General are providing all NH voters the opportunity to register and vote in the state’s primary and the general election via absentee ballot.  According to a memo from the Secretary of State and Attorney General’s office, “voters should not have to choose between their health and exercising their constitutional right to vote”. To help ensure NH voters can safely exercise their rights, concerns over potential exposure to coronavirus will now be included as part of the disability provision on absentee ballot forms, which can be downloaded directly from the NH Secretary of State’s website. To complete the absentee ballot application, NH citizens will need to identify whether they are a new or currently registered voter, their reason for requesting an absentee ballot, and whether a ballot is requested for the state’s primary election, the general election, or both.
