August meeting minutes have been posted.

Sign the Mayor’s petition supporting more women on the Police Commission

If interested, contact the web site and I’ll be glad to forward the petition.

A group of citizens is collecting signatures to put a charter amendment on the ballot in November that would establish local control of the Nashua Police Commission. This amendment would enable Nashua to make sure that qualified women are appointed to the Commission.

Since 1891, the State of New Hampshire has been making appointments to the Nashua Police Commission, which oversees the Nashua Police Department.
In the last 130 years, the State has put only one woman on the Nashua Police Commission.
