A little about Heather

Mrs. Raymond earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Worcester State University. She began her career in upstate New York where she specialized in working with children who had experienced severe trauma before moving to Nashua in 2010. In New Hampshire, Mrs. Raymond worked for the NH Division of Children Youth and Families as a Child Protective Social Worker. She then worked for CASA of New Hampshire as a Program Manager supervising Guardian ad Litems assigned by the court to advocate for the needs of children in foster care.

A large part of Mrs. Raymond’s professional experience has been visiting local schools, participating in IEP meetings, and navigating Special Education Law.

Mrs. Raymond was elected to the Nashua Board of Education in November 2017 beginning a four-year term in January 2018. She served as Chair of the Policy Committee in 2018. Mrs. Raymond was elected President of the BoE in January of 2019 and was re-elected to the role in 2020 and 2021. 

In addition to her work on the Board of Education, Mrs. Raymond volunteers with local community service agencies that focus on serving underprivileged children and families in Nashua. Her children attend Nashua Public Schools.
