My name is Michele Roussel Buckley, and I am honored to be considered for the At-Large position. I’m here because I believe deeply in the power of community, civic engagement, and in ensuring that every voice in Nashua feels seen, heard, and valued.

I am the founder of Gate City Voices, a community-driven initiative dedicated to empowering residents, uplifting local causes, and strengthening civic participation throughout our city. Through this work, I’ve helped organize rallies, community actions, and meaningful conversations that bring people together around issues that matter not to divide us, but to build understanding, momentum, and change.

Until recently, I was the Owner and Director of a small business just over the bridge servicing over 500 families, where I built and led a multigenerational community of families, students, and educators. Although I have now closed and retired from that role, the experience shaped my leadership style and gave me strong expertise in communication, social media strategy, and community outreach, skills that are essential in today’s civic and political landscape.

Through both my professional background and my work with Gate City Voices, I have used digital platforms to mobilize volunteers, promote events, and expand the reach of important messages, always with the goal of turning engagement into real, meaningful action in our community.

Service has always been central to who I am. I’ve coordinated donation drives to support families in need and helped lead fundraising efforts such as silent auctions, galas, and community events to support local organizations. This work has reinforced my belief that leadership is about listening, showing up, and working together.

I am seeking this At-Large position because I believe it plays a critical role in advancing inclusion, equity, transparency, and engagement. The At-Large role offers an opportunity to ensure that voices from across Nashua, especially those who may not always feel represented are part of the conversation.

If nominated and elected, I will bring energy, collaboration, and a strong commitment to outreach and communication. I am ready to dedicate my time and experience to strengthening our party and deepening its connection to the community we serve.
