My name is Emily Andrukaitis and I’m running for a seat on the NDCC because I want to support the work Democrats are doing here in Nashua to make it a great place to live and raise a family. My husband and I both grew up in New Hampshire and have lived in Nashua for the past five years. We both feel like Nashua is where we want to spend the rest of our lives, and we are looking forward to giving our daughter a childhood full of memories like ours.

I’ve been following politics for a long time, but last spring it became clear to me that I needed to get more involved, so I phonebanked nearly every week, canvassed every month, and organized a meet and greet with Ward 3’s Democratic state rep candidates. I met so many wonderful people through volunteering, and it was incredibly rewarding to help in a tangible way. I knew after the election that I wanted to stay involved.

I know I’d have a lot to learn as a new committee member, but I’m eager to do the work. I’ve gotten comfortable talking with voters about issues important to them, and I have some experience with event planning. I’ve also made my career in publishing, and have twenty years of experience in developing print and digital content. I hope to bring these skills to the committee and offer some new perspectives while learning from the other members and the rest of the party.
