My name is Vengerflutta Smith, and I am running for one of the four Member At Large positions for the Nashua Democratic City Committee. 

I have been a resident of Nashua for over 10 years and have enjoyed the best of the city, while appreciating the challenges that our varied communities’ face. I am a community advocate and support select non-profit organizations within the city and our region.  

As a proud registered Democrat, I have canvassed for national and local candidates in Nashua since the 2014 elections. I believe we must also act locally and have worked to get voters registered and worked at polling places for Ward 6 and 8.  I have also volunteered for the City Clerk’s office on election day in the past. Most recently I was a candidate for Ward 6 Alderman and plan to consider my candidacy again. 

I would like to be more involved with the NDCC and believe the Member At Large position would allow me to contribute more, while gaining more insight into the needs and challenges for our democratic party in the city.
