State Representative Candidate – Nashua Ward 7
First time candidate
Background:
- Longtime Nashua resident
- Raised in a family of teachers, medical professionals and entrepreneurs
- UNH (Durham) graduate
- Homeowner
- Runner, cyclist, hiker, skier, rock climber and photographer
- Head of a family business
Why am I running:
I am running to stand up for the values and goals I do not see adequately represented in
Concord. I believe passionately in protecting and advancing the the rights and opportunities of
all our residents- and in doing more to attract, train and retain the workers and families we need
to power NH’s economy into the future.
My priorities:
- Creating a family friendly economy, starting with a paid family and medical leave
program - Renewing our state’s commitment to a strong public education system
- Protecting medicaid expansion and further expanding access to affordable, quality and
comprehensive healthcare - Supporting a compassionate, evidence based continuum of addiction recovery services
- Standing strong in support of women's rights, workers’ rights and the rights of all
minorities - Eliminating gerrymandering, modernizing voter registration, pushing for campaign
finance reform and enacting policies to protect everyone’s right to vote. - Fighting for the environment and green energy, including an increase in the net metering
cap to encourage investment in renewables and to lower Nashua’s municipal energy
costs. - Making NH an enticing and welcoming place for newcomers of all backgrounds
- Reversing Concord’s harmful downshifting of costs to local property taxpayers
- Investing in productive infrastructure, including finally authorizing the study of commuter
rail expansion
