Why I’m running:
I am committed to democracy and the democratic process. Too many of our elected officials come with strong ideologies to which they want others to conform. Over the past year I have witnessed the efforts at the state level to suppress voting, undermine public education, and eviscerate government. I can no longer sit on the sidelines and watch this happen. I have a strong set of values of which I believe that government plays a key role in civilized societies and is in place to provide services and safety nets that help us all. I want to protect these services and safety nets from further erosion and work to enhance them.
